What does the SIT organization aim through the 2020-2023 Strategy?
✍️ To function as an organization, in March 2020 the SIT team set the goals, action areas, and the organization’s way of functioning in the Strategy for 2020-2023.
🕵️♀️ SIT is divided into three departments: Center for Counseling, Social Services, and Research. As a center for counseling, it aims to work on prevention, rehabilitation and reintegration of perpetrators; providing counseling services to Domestic Violence (DV) and Gender Based-Violence (GBV) perpetrators. Department for social services works
on preventing GBV & DV; promoting gender
equality, promoting healthy lifestyles in particular among youngsters, promoting human rights and non-majority communities’ rights, at the same time, continue involving youth in the decision making regarding our programmes and activities and the department for research which aims to conduct research in the socio-economic field, understood as often intertwined, cross-cutting topics.
📍 General goals 2020-2023:
1. Establish 2 more centers for counseling in 2 other regions of Kosovo, preferably Ferizaj/Uroševac and Gjakovё/Ðakovica. With regard to the existing counseling center in Pristina at SIT premises, it will be again operational;
2.Train future staff and potential professionals to provide counseling in future centers through ad-hoc social services programs;
3. Reach more than 10,000 direct and 100,000 indirect beneficiaries through our programs, contributing to local communities and fostering a healthier society at large;
4. Contribute to the development of specific sectors such as socio-economic, by providing data driven by both quantitative and qualitative research;
5. Support young people, i.e. volunteers and project participants, develop and/or strengthen their soft skills in order to increase their employability;
6.To support and finalize the Youth Workers Law jointly with the Office for Good Governance and the Ministry of Culture, Youth and Sports of the Republic of Kosovo.
