Our Mission

At SIT, we believe in the transformative power of community. Our mission is clear: to dismantle the barriers that stand in the way of equality, peace, and progress. By addressing urgent human rights issues such as Domestic Violence (DV) and Gender-Based Violence (GBV), we aim to cultivate a society where everyone, regardless of gender, identity, or background, can thrive. Additionally, through innovative approaches like Artivism and Doughnut Economics, we empower particularly young people—to become catalysts for change, driving their communities toward a brighter, more inclusive future.

Equality for All

Equality is more than a goal; it’s the very foundation of our work. For over 15 years, SIT has been a relentless advocate for those seeking justice in the face of inequality. Based in Prishtina and active across Kosovo, we confront the toughest challenges to promote a society where every person, regardless of gender, sexual orientation, or background, can live with dignity and hope. Through our programs, we pave the way for a society where everyone has a seat at the table.

Areas of Impact:

Our areas of impact address key societal issues across generations. For adults, we focus on preventing and rehabilitating perpetrators of violence in line with the Istanbul Convention, providing counseling services for DV/GBV, and promoting gender equality. For youth, we inspire gender equality and healthy lifestyles, empower them with soft skills through Doughnut Economics and Artivism, and encourage environmental stewardship. We also champion human rights, reduce peer violence, and foster digital literacy and positive integration for at-risk youth.

Our Global Network

SIT stands at the crossroads of local action and global change. As a licensed club of MasterPeace Global Foundation since 2019, we align our efforts with a worldwide movement using art and dialogue to inspire peace. Our role within networks like MenEngage Global Alliance, Youth for Exchange and Understanding International, MenCare, NOW Map, Working With Perpetrators European Network (WWP EU), and K10 Coalition for Health allows us to collaborate with changemakers across the globe. These partnerships strengthen our impact, helping us build a future rooted in equality, collaboration, and resilience.
