Reporting Domestic Violence during Covid-19 Pandemic
The COVID-19 pandemic has affected all people, all communities, and almost all aspects of life. The pandemic has mostly affected marginalized groups by strengthening inequalities and discrimination towards them. Violence has existed even before the pandemic, but this crisis made it more visible. In Kosovo as in many other countries, self-isolation, quarantine, social and financial problems have affected the increase of the reported violence cases and a potential increase of unreported violence cases!
Below you can see the reported cases of domestic violence during the period February – May 2020 in the Kosovo Police.
