About SIT: SIT – Center for Counselling, Social Services, and Research is a non-governmental organization whose mission is to promote and create an equal society for all. Thus, we address some of the most challenging human rights issues in our community that prevent us from achieving equality, peace, and development – including domestic violence and gender-based violence.

The organization is established to serve in three (3) departments: as a center for counseling which provides identifying and counseling services to individuals or groups in need of preventing gender-based violence and domestic violence, rehabilitation and reintegration of perpetrators; a center that promotes human rights, gender equality, prevent violence, gender-based violence, and domestic violence, promote a healthy lifestyle among young people, promote sexual and reproductive health. We work to promote healthy behaviors to prevent young people from radicalizing and violent extremism, and SIT conducts research in socio-economic fields. We provide relevant research and information for different actors in Kosovo.

Duties and responsibilities: 

● Responsible for assisting in the overall implementation of the project;

● Assistance in organizing and implementing project activities to achieve the envisaged project objectives (including the selection of project beneficiaries from North Mitrovica);

● Assist all team members to keep the workflow on track;

● Maintain constant contact with the participants of the respective projects;

● Maintain continuous communication with the coordinator of the respective project regarding the progress of activities;

● Hold meetings, training, workshops, campaigns, and other necessary activities on gender equality, human rights, violence prevention, mental health promotion, life skills, conflict management, interethnic tolerance, etc.

Qualifications:

– Experience in the civil society sector not less than two years;

– Bachelor or Master degree (or at the end) in social sciences;

 – Knowledge on gender equality, prevention of violence, negative phenomena, promotion of human rights, work with young people and other social topics;

 – Work management skills in stressful situations, teamwork, managerial skills;

 – Knowledge of English and Serbo-Croatian language is required!

 – To be a resident of Mitrovica South/North
