Diary of a day during the COVID-19 pandemic
So, the diary of a day during the COVID-19 pandemic is about an unusual day. As a nation and as individuals we have experienced positive and negative aspects of this pandemic, however many of us have been impacted and also found inspiration from this situation. Maybe people have not been prepared to face this kind of situation but the effect of the pandemic made many boys, girls, women, and men isolate themselves and create an environment different from their everyday routine. Women spent more time with their children feeding and taking care of them, men spent more time with their family – their children and wives, and siblings had more time to spend with their family. So, this is the positive aspect of this situation since families had more time to be next to each other since due to the situation they were physically distanced from their friends and relatives.
So, we can say that it was a time when everyone had the chance to live some pleasant moments with their family, but in some cases, there were negative consequences. This happened due to the impact of the community which caused arguments, fights, and improper communication with family members. These were some of the negative consequences this isolation had on us.
During this pandemic women dealt more with cooking, taking care for their children, and cleaning the house with some help from the spouse and children. So, they had the chance to have some help from the other family members. In the other hand, men stood closer to their children, socializing with them, counseling, and entertaining them.
Even though the COVID-19 pandemic took so many human lives, we should be aware that people have not been any closer to and connected with their families than now.
Within a day during the pandemic, each family member helps doing the chores, their father or their mother, they spend the best time of their lives, while escaping from a noisy world in which life occupations have often minimized satisfaction with parents and siblings.
Days during the pandemic sometimes were monotonous for many people since not having to go to work, at school, and since other institutions were not working, it caused that some people become passive. Whereas, others used this time to read books, journals, or newspapers, or preparing for exams. So, we can say that people used their free time to avoid monotony, but some others remained in anxiety or stress due to the lack of jobs. The anxiety during the pandemic, not only fear from COVID-19 but also self-isolation made people feel uncomfortable and not fulfill their daily activities.
Institutions, schools, businesses, and factories closedown made people raise their awareness in many aspects. People have not always in their lives faced such situations, however, isolation and family support have held people back from drug abuse, suicide, and other crimes.
All these things prevented negative consequences from occurring.
